Artist’s Statement
As a child, I traveled the world. I vividly remember the complex designs and colors of the mosques in Istanbul, Turkey. Adding to this are strong influences from American architecture and the treasures of the museums of Washington DC. With this background, I have developed an alternative view of art.
Self-taught, I have no preconceived notions or imprint of how art should develop. My art comes from within. I add a distinctively different dimension to my work that is reflected in strong colors, lines, textures, and media.
Biography
Jeff has a unique history. Growing up in a military family, he traveled extensively and has lived in Washington DC, Istanbul Turkey, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Finishing his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee with a major in Industrial Education and Training, he has spent his career in health care. Since, 1984 has proudly made Nashville his home.
